Southern Alberta Ethnic Association has announced the launch of a new project SAEA COVID-19 Assistant Relief.
The project will allow the SAEA to explore the needs and to provide COVID-19 assistance to the members and newcomers who may be struggling with any COVID issues, isolation, supplies, employment insurance or resource access.
SAEA COVID-19 Assistance Relief program will help members and newcomers to find local information, quickly and accurately, the SAEA said in a news release.
SAEA is aware there is a growing concern around COVID-19 as the events over the past months have been unprecedented. Many are feeling uneasy, especially as people face more challenges in daily routines and plans..
SAEA has a wide variety of cultural background in the current membership. A lot of the members struggle with a language barrier and are isolated from the community because of this lack of understanding and not knowing the English language well. The main objective of the project is to assist SAEA members and newcomers who may be struggling with resource access and to create a bridge which enables members to access reliable information about COVID-19 in a most convenient way.
If you need help booking a COVID testing appointment, completing self-assessment online, assistance related to Employment Insurace, CERB, citizenship or any other things, please do not hesitate to contact SAEA. The association can also provide counselling referral and support services to its members along with protective equipment when necessary.
Members are urged to reach out by calling the SAEA office at 403-320-1577 or by emailing email@example.com or by stopping by the office.
