Child, two adults killed in head-on collision in Alberta on long weekend

SYLVAN LAKE, Alta. – Police are investigating a crash in central Alberta that left three people, including a child, dead and another child in hospital.

RCMP were called to a two-vehicle collision near Sylvan Lake Sunday evening.

They say their initial investigation shows a truck and an SUV collided head-on.

Police say the 30-year old man who was driving the truck was declared dead at the scene.

A 39-year old man who was driving the SUV and his five-year-old passenger were also killed.

A seven-year-old passenger was taken by air ambulance to an Edmonton hospital, where he is stable.

No charges will be laid.
