Lengthy road closure after Thanksgiving Monday crash in northern Alberta

GRASSLAND, Alta. – Three people were taken to hospital after a collision involving two semi-trailer trucks and a car in northern Alberta.

The crash happened Monday afternoon on Highway 63, about five kilometres west of Grassland.

RCMP say the car driver and a passenger in the same vehicle were taken for treatment, along with one of the truck drivers.

The other truck driver was treated at the scene.

One of the semis was hauling dry materials while the second truck did not have a load.

Traffic was detoured until early Tuesday morning while police investigated.
