Cinema washroom becomes impromptu emergency ward for Calgary shooting victim

Calgary police say a man dashed into a washroom in a shopping mall cinema to treat a gunshot wound before he was greeted by officers and taken to hospital.

The shooting happened just after 9 p.m. Sunday near the south-central Chinook Centre.

Police say it appears the 30-year-old victim was shot along a road that runs parallel to the west side of the mall.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

He remains in stable condition.

Investigators are looking for four men who were believed to be in a vehicle spotted near the shooting scene. (CTV Calgary)
