1929 – 2017
Mr. David Blades of Lethbridge, formerly of Stirling, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Lou-Jean Blades passed away peacefully at the Good Samaritans Park Meadows on Sunday June 4, 2017 at the age of 87 years. An informal service will be held at 6:30pm on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at the MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610- 4 Street South, Lethbridge.

Jannigje “Janny” Kreft
1920 – 2017
With sorrow we announce the passing away of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Mrs. Janny Kreft, loving wife of the late Mr. Dirk Kreft, on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at the Chinook Regional Hospital at the age of 97 years. Born, raised and educated in the Netherlands, Janny married Dirk on February 25, 1944. Together they immigrated to Canada in June of 1949 to Southern Alberta, farming in the Picture Butte and Coaldale areas. They retired in 1980 and moved into Coaldale where she lived for many years. In her final years, Janny resided in the Bethesda Care Home. She is survived by her children; James (Nelleke), Peter (Lia), Tony (Nellie), Trudy (Louie) Bouma, John (Rita), Mary (Dick) Van Harberden, son-in-law Aris Slingerland and daughter-in-law Dorothy Kreft Vandemunt (Nelis), 37 grandchildren, 83 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brother Nick (Tressa) Brandhorst of Lethbridge, two sisters, Marie and Teuntje in the Netherlands. Janny was predeceased by her husband Dirk, daughter Margaret, son Richard, two grandchildren, Adrian and Brian Kreft, two brothers and one sister in the Netherlands. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm, on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at the NETHERLANDS REFORMED CONGREGATION, Hwy 3 & RR21-1 (Howe Road), with Rev. H.D. den Hollander officiating. Kendra Joy Larson, beloved wife of Kirk Oseen, passed away June 5, 2017 at 9:20 am after a month long battle with CJD. Her legacy remains with her sons Jason McNiven (Wendi), Cory Benson (Renee); Granddaughters Taylor and Jayden McNiven, Chloe, Myah, and Rowyn Benson; and surviving siblings Valinda Cummins, Lonnie Larson, and Colette Staples (Wes), and their families. Kendra was predeceased by her Father, Lief Larson, and survived by her mother Jeannie Larson. DARRELL STUART LENDRUM passed away at the age of 49, in the mountains that he called home.
Darrell is survived by his children Cassidy Lendrum and Tynan Lendrum, whom he loved to his last breath.

DOROTHY JEAN MURRELL, beloved wife of Alex Murrell, of Lethbridge, passed away at the St. Michael’s Health Centre – Palliative Care Unit, on Wednesday, June 7th, 2017 at the age of 79 years.
A Prayer Vigil will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME – 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB. on Friday, June 9th, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. with Maureen Condon-Horon officiating.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH – 2405 12th Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB. on Saturday, June 10th, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with Father Kevin Tumback, Celebrant.
Following the Funeral Mass, Dorothy will be laid to rest in Mountain View Cemetery.
