Lethbridge Bulls smacked three home runs and rolled to an 8-2 victory over the Melville Millionaires in a rain-shortened five-inning Western Major Baseball League contest Tuesday night in Melville.
Hank Forrest, with this first of the year, Kaleb Warden and Blake MacDonald all went deep as the Bulls improved to 13-19 on the season.
Lethbridge scored single runs in the first three innings, then Forrest and Warden went yard in a five-run fourth for an 8-0 lead. Forrest hit a thee-run shot to break things open, then Warden later added a two-run homer.
Nick Ankermann had two of the nine Lethbridge hits, while Dylan Borman had an RBI single to open the scoring in the first.
Ben Erwin worked all five innings for the Bulls to get the victory, allowing four hits while striking out four.
Melville collected two runs in the fifth inning, including a solo home run from Edarian Williams, before the game was called.
Lyle Hibbitts surrendered eight runs in four innings of work as Melville slid to 9-22 on the season.
The teams play again tonight in Melville.
