Four high school games kick off tonight

The Southern Alberta High School Football League heads into its fourth weekend.

Four games are on the slate, including two at the University of Lethbridge Stadium.

The LCI Rams are first up at 5 p.m. when they take on Calgary Ernest Manning in exhibition play. The Rams are coming off a 24-0 loss to the Calgary St. Francis Browns last Saturday and are ranked seventh in the Football Alberta Tier I standings.

SAHSFL interlocking play hits the U of L gridiron in the second game at 7:30 p.m. as Catholic Central Cougars clash with the Chinook Coyotes.

The Coyotes (2-0) are in ninth in the Football Alberta Tier II rankings following a 22-19 win over the Winston Churchill Bulldogs last Friday.

The Cougars were defeated 35-0 by the Taber W.R. Myers Rebels Friday.

Elsewhere Friday, the Pincher Creek Dragons host the Claresholm Willow Creek Cobras in Division B play at 4:30 p.m., while in Cardston the Cougars take on Medicine Crescent Heights at 7:30 p.m.

On Saturday, the Rebels are at home when they welcome Calgary Rundle College to town. Game time is 1 p.m.

The Rebels are 2-0 to start the season and ranked second in the provincial Tier II standings behind the Cobras.
