The University of Lethbridge Pronghorns women’s rugby team won’t be in the playoffs this season.

But they will have the chance to end their season on a winning note tonight.

The Horns will wrap up the 2018 Canada West season against the Calgary Dinos at the University Community Stadium tonight at 6 p.m.

“We’re excited to play in front of our home crowd, the girls have really responded well playing in front of our loud and supportive crowd,” said head coach Neil Langevin in a U of L news release

“We’re playing for a bit of pride and want to end the season on a high. It’ll be bitter sweet with Fisayo, Eden and Jill playing their last games as Pronghorns and I know the other players will respond by playing for them.”

Heading into the final conference game, the Pronghorns (1-4) sit in fifth place. The University of Alberta Pandas are two points ahead of the Pronghorns, and are set to host the Canada West tournament, so the Horns are unable to qualify for the championship tournament.
