Bombers pay Bulls back


The Lethbridge Bulls began their road trip with a loss.

The Bulls were downed 10-4 by the Brooks Bombers in Western Canadian Baseball League play Sunday afternoon in Brooks. The loss drops the Bulls to 5-5.

The loss came less than 24 hours after the Bulls beat the Bombers 14-4 at Spitz Stadium Saturday night as the team now heads out on a Saskatchewan road swing, starting Tuesday in Melville against the Millionaires.

On Sunday, the Bombers scored five runs in the fourth inning and two more in the fifth and sixth innings en route to the win.

The Bulls put up 13 hits as Jaret Semeniuk batted 4-for-4 with one run scored and Kaleb Warden went 3-for-5 with one RBI.

Bulls right fielder Grant Kerry hit 2-for-5.

Ben Erwin took the loss for Lethbridge, going four innings and allowing six runs on six hits, walking one and striking out three.
