As they get ready to host the Canada West Championship, the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns swim team got one more tuneup.
The Pronghorns were in Vancouver for the Colleges Cup Saturday and Sunday with the men’s team notching five podium performances while the women’s side earned two top-10 finishes.
The men’s relay team earned two top-three swims.
The 200m free relay team Tom Utas, Adam Stromberg, Chris Alexander and Raine Arden took first in that distance. The same four swimmers picked up third place in the 400m free relay.
Individually, Utas picked up a silver medal in the 50m free, his time qualifying him for the U SPORTS Championships in the New Year. He was also fourth in the 100m free.
Mah won a silver medal in the 50m butterfly, while Stromberg picked up a bronze medal in the 50m free.
Chris Alexander registered two top-10 performances in the 50 and 100m backstroke events. Aidan Godwin was ninth in the 50m breaststroke.
On the women’s side, Tricia Fair and Emilia Hesterman each had multiple top-10 results.
Fair finished eighth in the 50m freestyle and ninth in the 100m free, 50 and 100m butterfly events.
Hesterman was seventh in the 50m breaststroke and 10th in the 100m individual medley.
The Pronghorns host the Canada West Championships Nov. 22-24.
