The Alberta Schools Athletic Association South Zone volleyball playoffs wrapped up around the city on the weekend.
The 1A and 2A boys and girls playdowns took the court at the Val Matteotti Gymnasium at Lethbridge College, while the 3A boys and 3A girls South Zone championship took place at Winston Churchill and Taber W.R. Myers, respectively.
At Chinook High School, the 4A boys and girls playoffs took place with the Chinook Coyotes earning the sweep to advance to provincials.
In the 1A girls playdowns, the Foremost Forettes won the gold medal while the Senator Gershaw Gators earned the 1A boys title.
The Vauxhall boys and girls teams each won the 2A title.
In the 3A boys playdowns, the LCI Rams captured this year’s South Zone banner.
Medicine Hat McCoy and Crescent Heights will advance in the 3A girls division.
