Rattlers ringette goes .500 in Spirit of Winter Ringette Tournament

The Lethbridge Rattlers went 2-2 in tournament play last weekend.

The Rattlers were in Langley, B.C. for the Spirit of Winter Ringette Tournament where the team also watched the World Ringette Championships in Burnaby where Team Canada Sr. finished second and Team Canada Jr. won gold for their third straight win.

The Rattlers lost their first two games of the weekend, starting with an 8-1 loss to BNWRA Beets. Lorelai Koch scored for the Rattlers and goaltender Tehya Trekofski stopped 22 shots.

Lethbridge fell to 0-2 with a 7-2 loss as Madi Andres and Mikayla Miller scored once each and Trey Blair faced 33 shots.

The Rattlers got their first win of the weekend with a 7-6 decision over the Vancouver Riot.

Mikayla Miller scored twice for Lethbridge. Andres, Tegan Tailfeathers, Kiarra Robinson, Brynn Stevenson and Emily Miller added singles. Trekofski faced 38 shots.

The Rattlers finished with a 4-3 win over the Vernon Dawgs as Emily Miller and Brynn Stevenson scored twice each. Blair was in goal, facing 34 shots.
