Local Nationals strike gold

A total of six teams headed to St. George, Utah, for the Huntsman World Senior Games Oct. 7-19.

Once again, the locals struck gold and brought back other medals in the process.

The 60’s Nationals won gold in B Division, defeating Lethbridge O-Dogs 60’s, while The 55’s Nationals were golden in the A Division with a win over the Steel Strong from Salt Lake, Utah. The teams were organized and coached by Dale Frisky of Lethbridge.

In other local results, the North Stars 50+ from Cardston won gold in A Division (Black), the Lethbridge O-Dogs 60 earned silver A Division, the Lethbridge Miners 79+ won bronze in the A Division and the Lethbridge O-Dogs 50 took home bronze A division (Black).

The Huntsman World Senior Games take place each October and are open to athletes from all around the world and of all skill levels. In 2019, the games welcomed over 11,000 participates to southern Utah. More than 29 countries took the field, competing in 32 different sports.
