Midget Hurricanes go 0-1-1

The Lethbridge midget AA Hurricanes came away with one point on the weekend.

The Hurricanes tied the Calgary CNHA Blazers 2-2 Saturday night at Henderson Arena, but were shut out 6-0 by the Calgary CRAA Gold Sunday in Calgary in South Central Alberta Hockey League play.

With the tie the Canes are 5-6-3 and in fourth place in the South Conference, two points back of the Taber Golden Suns.

On Saturday at Henderson Arena, Logan Kowal and Luke Preddy scored for Lethbridge.

Canes goaltender Alex Resler played two periods in Sunday’s loss, stopping seven of 12 shots.

Jesse Schindel played the third, kicking out 13 of 14 shots.

The Hurricanes return to league play with a pair of games this weekend.

They’re at Henderson Arena Friday night when they host the Medicine Hat Jasper Home Hounds at 7 p.m.

On Sunday they’re in Strathmore to take on the Wheatland Chiefs at 1:30 p.m.
