The Lethbridge Headwater bantam AA Hurricanes kicked off the new year with a pair of much needed road victories.
Saturday, the Canes travelled to Okotoks and skated away with a 3-1 victory.
Carter Cunningham led the way with two goals while Daillon Kryzanowski scored the game winner. With the victory, the Canes managed a season split with the Oilers, both teams going 1-1-2.
Sunday, the Hurricanes travelled to Nanton for their final regular season tilt with the Foothills Bisons and earned a 3-2 victory.
Brett Hudey and Cunningham sparked the Canes with one goal and two points each, while Rhyle Weaselhead provided the other Canes marker. Lethbridge swept the three-game season series.
The Hurricanes will next see action this Friday in Cochrane against the Bow Valley Timberwolves, before playing their first home game of 2020 Sunday at Nicholas Sheran against the Hornets from Cranbrook.
