Wrestling team members strike gold in Med. Hat

Members of the Lethbridge Wrestling Association won multiple gold medals at the Medicine Hat Hawks Classic last weekend in Medicine Hat.

Represented by eight schools, the locals took home 11 gold medals, with all wrestlers placing in the top four.

The LCI contingent of Camille Bly, Tamryn Bly, Rawley Selk, Ryder Lowry and Briggs Butler took home gold medals.

Fellow LCI students Ethan Boehme (silver) and Brian Sheen (bronze) also took home medals, while Cole Pitcher placed fourth.

From Chinook, Mason Harris, Angelina Ellis-Toddington, Autumn Carter and Blessing Diyaolu all won gold medals, while Gilbert Paterson’s Solomon Prenevost also won gold and schoolmates Payton Shields and Abiageal Hyland won silver.

The Winston Churchill duo of Katelyn Tyke and Matthias Forsberg earned silver and bronze, respectively.

Devoy Silver of Catholic Central took home a silver medal and Emmy Selk of Senator Joyce Fairbairn also won silver.

Guet Guet of Wilson Middle School won gold and Addy Selk of Dr. Gerald B. Probe won silver.
