The Okotoks Dawgs thrashed the Lethbridge Bulls for the third time in less than a week, as they blanked them 11-0 Monday night during Western Canadian Baseball League action at Spitz Stadium.
The Dawgs opened the scoring when Zane Skanski hit a two-out RBI single to score Aden Munoz in the third inning.
Steven Elsner made the score 2-0 for Okotoks with a solo home run in the fourth inning.
A Skanski triple in the fifth inning cashed in a couple more runs to make the score 4-0 Okotoks.
Skanski later scored on a Connor Crowson sacrifice fly to give the Dawgs a 5-0 lead after five innings.
Elsner then hit his second home run of the game in the sixth inning to give Okotoks a 6-0 lead.
Jason Arriola then hit a two-out single in the seventh inning to cash in Crowson for the Dawgs seventh run of the ball game.
Kadyn Williams was next up to bat, and he hit a single to score Leo Cote to make the score 8-0.
Elsner hit a single to score Arriola and to make the score 9-0.
The Dawgs kept pouring it on in the eighth when Skanski continued his strong play at the play as he hit a sacrifice fly to score Sanchez.
Cote then hit a single to score Jackson Fera to make the score 11-0 Dawgs.
Jacob Hageman was the losing pitcher for the Bulls after pitching five innings, where he gave up five runs on nine hits and struck out three battersÂ
Both the Dawgs and Bulls played on Sunday afternoon at Spitz Stadium where Okotoks won 14-6.
The Dawgs had 14 runs on 17 hits while Lethbridge had six runs on eight hits.
Bernie Socarras had three hits in five plate appearance, scored two runs and had three RBIs (runs batted in) to lead the Bulls in the losing cause.
Jalen Ryan scored two runs, while Adonis Bernal and Lee Matsuzaki had a run each for the Bulls.
Starting pitcher Sheamus Ryan took the loss after pitching 4 1/3 innings, surrendering eight runs on seven hits, striking out four batters and walking three.
The Dawgs won 24-2 last Thursday at Spitz Stadium over the Bulls.
The Bulls began the weekend with a 6-1 win over the Brooks Bombers on Saturday night at Spitz Stadium.
Brennan McTavish led the way for the Bulls as he had two hits in four plate appearances, a run and two RBIs,
Matsuzaki, Ryan, Socarras, Jack Kalisky and Carter Claerhout also scored a run each for Lethbridge.
Levi Abbott got the win for Bulls as he pitched five innings, while allowing no runs on four hits, striking out seven batters and walking two batters.
Lethbridge hosts their annual Canada Day doubleheader today when they take on the Weyburn Beavers at Spitz Stadium at 2:05 p.m. and 7:35 p.m.
