CALGARY – The Dufour-Lapointe sisters advanced to the final of a women’s World Cup moguls Saturday in Calgary.
Montreal’s Justine Dufour-Lapointe and older sister Chloe, who won gold and silver respectively at the 2014 Winter Olympics, ranked sixth and ninth in qualifying.
The top 16 women advanced to the afternoon final.
Sofiane Gagnon of Whistler, B.C. and Saskatoon’s Maia Schwinghammer also booked berths in the final, placing 14th and 15th respectively in qualifying.
On the men’s side, reigning Olympic champion Mikael Kingsbury of Deux-Montagnes, Que., and Laurent Dumais of Quebec City had already punched their ticket to Saturday’s final finishing first and ninth Friday.
