Payne leads Maryland against Iowa after 30-point performance

BOTTOM LINE: Maryland faces Iowa after Pharrel Payne scored 30 points in Maryland’s 89-63 win over the Wagner Seahawks.

The Hawkeyes are 5-0 on their home court. Iowa is 6-1 in games decided by 10 or more points.

The Terrapins are 1-0 on the road. Maryland ranks eighth in the Big Ten with 10.4 offensive rebounds per game led by Solomon Washington averaging 3.0.
