ASPEN — Canadian freestyle skier Megan Oldham won her first gold medal of the World Cup season Thursday at a big air competition in Aspen.
Oldham, from Parry Sound, Ont., finished on top with a score of 183.75 points.
Flora Tabanelli of Italy (175.25 points) was second and Anni Karava of Finland (157.5) was third.
Oldham has three World Cup podium appearances this year after claiming slopestyle silver medals Saturday in Aspen and Jan. 17 in Laax, Switzerland.
In the men’s event, Luca Harrington of New Zealand took gold with 187.75 points, followed by Konnor Ralph of the United States (183.75) and Andri Ragettli of Switzerland (183).
Ottawa’s Noah Porter MacLennan was sixth with 174.25 points and Dylan Deschamps of Quebec City was ninth at 117.25.
