Lethbridge MP Rachael Thomas wants to hear the voices of riding youth.

The MP recently announced she is accepting applications from people interested in serving on her youth advisory board for 2025-26.

Board participation is open to all youth aged 16 to 24 who live in the Lethbridge riding which encompasses the city, Lethbridge County, Coaldale and other communities including Picture Butte, Coalhurst, Nobleford and Barons.

This will be Thomas’ 10th year hosting the board.

“As the Member of Parliament for Lethbridge, part of my mission is to empower young people by giving them a voice at the table. We need youth to take responsibility for their communities, engage in productive conversation on the topics that matter most to them, and offer their energy and creativity with unrelenting fervency,” the MP said in a release.

The board will meet monthly and at those meetings members will have a chance to voice their opinions on federal legislation as well as issues impacting Canadians of all ages. Members themselves determine monthly agendas.

Thomas calls the board a “non-partisan opportunity” that is open to youth of all political backgrounds. Deadline for application is March 21.

The application can be found online at http://www.RachaelThomas.ca

” … topics that matter most to them.”

Like, climate change, polluting our water to profit an Australian billionaire (and a few of the UCP in-crowd), widening economic disparity, rising authoritarianism, … Good for you, Rachael!
