Strong weekend for local AAA hockey teams

The Lethbridge U18AAA Hurricanes ended their season with a split over the weekend.
The Canes first doubled up the Lloydminster Lancers 6-3 on Saturday.
Colby Gulliver, Cohen Larson, Kayson Christian, Garrett Janzen, Samuel Laplante and Elijah Fleck scored for Lethbridge in the win.
Brody Rotar stopped 25-of-28 Lancer shots.
The Okotoks Oilers then doubled up the Canes 4-2 on Sunday.
Fleck and Jake Demone scored and Calder Graham saved 30-of-34 shots for Lethbridge in the loss.
U15AAA
The Val Matteotti Golden Hawks edged the LJAC Oil Kings 4-3 on Saturday.
Delphin De Boer, Briggs Fabro, Lincoln Deleeuw and Liam Cowie scored for the Golden Hawks, while Chase Nielson stopped 48-of-51 shots.
U17AAA
The Headwater Hurricanes beat the SouthEast Tigers 4-3 in overtime on Friday.
Dawson Spence scored 3:02 into overtime to life Lethbridge to the win.
Owen Demone scored two goals and Brody Johnson had the other in the win.
Talyn Matthews stopped 32-of-35 shots for the Canes.
