The Lethbridge Polytechnic Kodiak women’s basketball won their third game in a row on Saturday with a 65-59 victory over Keyano College at Val Matteotti Gymnasium.
The win also meant a weekend sweep on home court after they beat Lakeland 59-42 on Friday and a four-way tie for first place with SAIT, Briercrest and Medicine Hat College with eight points apiece.
After losing to Lakeland 76-71 on Friday night, the Kodiak men’s basketball rebounded with a 109-98 win over Keyano College on Saturday at Val Matteotti Gymnasium to gain a home court split.
The Kodiak men’s volleyball team are 6-1 after a weekend road split up north.
Lethbridge swept Lakeland in three sets (25-16,25-23, 25-19) on Friday, before dropping their first match of the season to Keyano in three sets (25-20, 25-16, 29-27) on Saturday.
The Kodiak women’s volleyball team fell to 1-6 on the season after being swept by Keyano on Saturday (25-16, 25-21, 25-14).
Pronghorns
University of Lethbridge Pronghorn basketball teams hosted the University of Manitoba for two games over the weekend.
The Pronghorn men won 87-71 on Friday before dropping their Saturday game 74-69.
The Pronghorn women gained a split as well with U of M after losing 60-48 on Friday and winning 80-65 on Saturday.
Both teams play four straight road games before having a break until the New Year.
