The City of Lethbridge will be moving forward with plans to construct a roundabout at the intersection of College Drive South and 28 Avenue/Tudor Boulevard South and will be hosting an open house on Thursday.
Residents and business owners are invited to attend an informational open house on Dec. 4 from 3:30-6:30 at College Drive Community Church to learn more about the project, see the finalized design and share any feedback and questions they may have.
The project was first introduced during the 2025 community conversation event, where since the design has been refined to incorporate community feedback and meet current traffic safety and accessibility needs.
The roundabout will improve east-west traffic flow during peak times, while maintaining current conditions for north-south travel and is expected to improve safety by reducing right-angle collisions, lowering vehicle speeds and reviewing intersection lighting upgrades.
Transit access will also be improved through upgraded bus stops in the area.
Construction is planned to take place next summer, while Lethbridge Polytechnic is out of session, to minimize disruption.
