CP NewsAlert: Ottawa approves Teck and Anglo American, companies say

OTTAWA — Teck Resources Ltd. and Anglo American PLC say they have received regulatory approval from the Canadian government for to merge into one.

Shareholders gave their blessing last week to the plan which was first announced in September.
