Canada’s Cynthia Appiah takes silver in World Cup monobob at Winterberg

WINTERBERG — Canada’s Cynthia Appiah earned silver in women’s monobob at the IBSF World Cup Winterberg on Saturday.

Appiah, from Toronto, finished with a two-heat time of one minute 58.53 seconds.

Germany’s Laura Nolte took gold in 1:58.37 and Germany’s Lisa Buckwitz picked up bronze in 1:58.57.
