SMALL FACE, Kim SMALL FACE Kim Bruce Small Face, passed away on February 18, 2026 in Lethbridge, Alberta at the age of 65 years.
The memorial service will be held at Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston, Alberta on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at 12:00 pm.

BASSETT, Shirley BASSETT SHIRLEY ELLEN BASSETT, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully in Raymond, AB on Sunday February 22, 2026 at the age of 85 years.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, February 27, 2026 at Salmon and Sons Funeral Home, 433 Stubb Ross Rd S, Lethbridge.

BARON, Janice JANICE BARON 1951 – 2026 Ms. Janice “Jan” Baron, of Warner, Alberta, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 20, 2026, at the Milk River Long-Term Care Centre at the age of 74 years.
Janice was born on February 22nd, 1951, in Hamilton, Ontario, to parents Bessie and Millen Pearson. In 1980, Jan made the move to Alberta, where she built a life centered around family, community, and the simple joys that meant the most to her.
Janice had a deep love for her family and friends and found great happiness in spending time with them. She had a passion for cooking, traveling, and camping, and especially treasured attending her children’s and grandchildren’s hockey games and sporting events. She was also fond of 4-H and rodeo events, embracing the lifestyle and community that came with them.
In her quieter moments, Janice enjoyed a warm cup of hot chocolate and watching the shopping channel – simple pleasures that brought her comfort and joy.
She will be lovingly remembered by her two sons, Tanner (Amanda) Baron, Jesse (Paige) Baron; her ex-husband, William Baron, with whom she shared her sons; her cherished grandchildren, Chloe, Charlie, and Riley Baron; and her brothers, John Pearson, Jody Pearson, and Gary Pearson; and Ross Orcutt. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
Janice was predeceased by her parents, Bessie and Millen Pearson, and her sister, Cheryl Taylor.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Warner Elks Hall – 210-4th Ave, Warner.
Cremation has been entrusted to Martin Brothers Funeral Chapels.

SPEAR CHIEF, Mariah MARIAH RAE SPEAR CHIEF 1995 – 2026 Mariah Rae Spear Chief (Long Time Squirrel), of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully with family by her side at St. Michael’s Health Center on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at the age of 30 years.
Mariah is lovingly remembered by her dad Marvin Spear Chief, her sister Billie Jean Long Time Squirrel, and her brother Elton long Time Squirrel. She is dearly missed by her uncles Gord Spear Chief, Nathan Spear Chief, Barry Long Time Squirrel, and Antonio Long Time Squirrel, her great-uncle Melvin Spear Chief; as well as her cousins Creely McCoy, Trai Spear Chief, Tyi Spear Chief, and Jade Spear Chief.
Mariah enjoyed sport, music, and doing make-up – her eyebrows always had to be “on point.” She loved being around family and experienced a lot of travelling while living with her foster family, Lorena Rivera, Christopher Torres, and James Torres.
Mariah was very shy, but once she opened up, she loved to joke around with you.
She is predeceased by her mom Judy Long Time Squirrel, her uncles Newton Long Time Squirrel and George Long Time Squirrel; her aunts Donna Long Time Squirrel, Shelly Long Time Squirrel, Aletha Spear Chief, and Renee Spear Chief; and her grandparents Gordon Sr. Good Dagger, Harriet Spear Chief, George Long Time Squirrel, and Helen Steele.
A Wake Service will be held from 3-5PM on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Streets Alive Mission, 711 2A Ave N., Lethbridge, AB, with Pastor Ken Kissick officiating.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Gladstone Hall, Blood Reserve, AB.
Mariah will be laid to rest following the service at St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Blood Reserve, AB.
