Falcons are adding receiver Jahan Dotson, talking to Tua Tagovailoa, AP sources say

By Canadian Press on March 9, 2026.

The Atlanta Falcons have agreed on a two-year contract with wide receiver Jahan Dotson, a person with knowledge of the deal told The Associated Press on Monday.

The person, who spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity because the contract can’t be finalized until the new league year begins on Wednesday, said Dotson is receiving $15 million, including $10 million guaranteed.

The Falcons also are discussing a deal with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who will be released by the Dolphins, a person with knowledge of those discussions told the AP.

Tagovailoa was 44-32 as a starter in Miami. He would join Michael Penix in Atlanta’s quarterback room. Penix will be returning from a torn ACL.

Dotson, a 2022 first-round draft pick by Washington, was part of Philadelphia’s Super Bowl championship team in 2024. He has averaged 33 catches for 410 yards and three touchdowns in his four NFL seasons.
