The Frank Flaman Foundation and Southland Trailers showed  their generosity towards Lethbridge Family Services (LFS) this week.

Between the Foundation and the local trailer company, they were able to donate $10,000 to LFS, which will be put back into their Immigrant Services department.

The Frank Flaman Foundation’s focus is to help individuals and or families  that are in need through the help of charitable organizations that they partner with.

The donation is geared towards assisting families that are new to the city and are vulnerable.

“A portion of the funding will be allocated through the Immigrant Services program, to provide grocery parcels for families experiencing food insecurity and modest rent supplements for those facing housing instability,” as read in the release.

Basic needs that are urgent

“The future of Lethbridge depends on the opportunities we create for young people today,” said Scott Sailer, Director of Operations for Southland Trailers.

“Supporting programs that help youth grow in confidence, develop skills, and feel connected to their community is something we’re proud to be part of.”

Flaman Group of Companies are fully on board to assist the communities that they are involved in, whether it’s through their employees or customers.

“When businesses make giving part of their culture, it strengthens the entire community,” said  Nigel Atwood, Southern Alberta Regional Manager at Flaman Group of Companies. “We’re proud to partner with Lethbridge Family Services and support programs that help families build stability and create brighter futures for their children.”

The Frank Flaman Foundation’s focus is to help individuals and or families  that are in need through the help of charitable organizations that they partner with.

Whatever is leftover from the funding will go towards the LFS Girls Group, which is a program that allows for safe spaces for young females between the ages of 10 and 18.
