Canada’s Premier Food Corridor to host delegation from Invest Quebec

Canada’s Premier Food Corridor (CPFC), in a continuing effort of expanding their reach and working collaboratively with other municipalities focused on the agri-food sector, is hosting a delegation from Invest Quebec over the couple of days. 

The CPFC is a collaborative network of economic development professionals and municipalities committed to driving growth in Southern Alberta’s agri-food sector through strategic investment attraction and industry advocacy. 

The Québec delegation includes 10 companies specializing in processing automation and digitization firms offering solutions that may be of direct interest to Alberta processors as they look to innovate, scale, and remain competitive.

Economic Attache, Quebec satellite office in Vancouver, Maha Jendoubi says Southern Alberta is an absolute powerhouse in Canadian food manufacturing. 

“We are thrilled to bring Quebec’s top innovators in industrial automation directly to the region. ‘The Smart Line’ mission is all about building strong, lasting bridges between the East and the West,” says Jendoubi. 

She says that by combining Alberta’s massive production scale with Quebec’s specialized technological expertise, they are creating strategic partnerships that will make the domestic food supply chain more efficient, resilient, and globally competitive.

While visiting, the delegation will visit several agrifood processors in and around Lethbridge. Stops will include Lamb Weston, Whole Leaf, Epic Eggs, NewCold and Little Gem Winery.
