Canadian Leylah Fernandez has been bounced from the women’s singles tournament at the Miami Open.
Fernandez, from Laval Que., lost to Jessica Pegula of the United States 6-2, 6-2 on Sunday in a Round of 32 match.
Victoria Mboko of Burlington, Ont., is the last Canadian in the women’s brackets.
She’ll face her doubles partner Mirra Andreeva of Russia in a Round of 16 match on Monday.
Montreal’s Felix Auger-Aliassime will face France’s Terence Atmane in a Round of 32 match in the men’s singles tournament on Monday.
Later Sunday, Mboko and Andreeva faced Australia’s Ellen Perez and Demi Schuurs of the Netherlands in the Round of 32 of the women’s doubles tournament.
