DOERKSEN
ANNA DOERKSEN (nee Dyck), beloved wife of the late David Doerksen, of Lethbridge, AB, passed away
peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Monday, May 5th, 2014 at the age of 82 years.
She is the loving mother of; Terry (Cathy) Doerksen, Elaine (Dean) Schumacher, Danny (Marlene) Doerksen,
Rose (Joe) Cobbe, Madelaine (Ron) Trone, Roger (Cindy) Doerksen and Carol (Wade) Caldwell; 18
grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
She is also survived by her siblings; Eva Zacharias, Margaret (George) Bueckert, Mary (Paul) Kulyk, Jake
(Elaine) Dyck as well as nieces and nephews too numerous to mention.
Besides her loving husband David, Anna was predeceased by her parents David and Agatha as well as her
grandson Marcel and three brothers and four sisters.
Anna was born in Hague, Saskatchewan on February 16, 1932. She married the love of her life, David
Doerksen on October 5, 1952 and later moved to Saskatoon. Together Anna and David raised seven children.
Their family over time eventually settled in Lethbridge where they spent the rest of their days.
Anna will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 1:00 P.M.

DOROTHY ELSIE MILNE
October 12, 1932- May 6, 2014
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear Mom, Elsie Milne. Mom died peacefully at
the age of 81. She died as she lived, with integrity, honesty, compassion for others and so very proud of
her family and community. While we mourn our great loss, we take comfort in knowing that Mom is at peace
with God and is with other family members that have gone before her.
Mom was born on October 12, 1932 in Fort Macleod to Eugenio and Mary Annie Chivilo. She was the second of
four children. Mom is survived by her sisters, Florence and Edith and was predeceased by her beloved
brother, Peter.
Mom married our dad, John Milne, on May 30, 1953. Together they raised four girls, Brenda (Brian) Mcleod,
Barbara (Grant) Perepeluk, Leta (John) McRobert and Georgina (Kevin) Yellowaga. Their son, John Lindsay
Milne II, died in infancy. Mom will be sadly missed by her eight grandchildren, Natalie (Jesse), Landon,
Courtney, Hilary (Josh), Taylor, Braedon, Maddison and Nate and also by two great grandchildren, Walker
and Monroe.
Mom’s funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., on Saturday May 10, 2014 at the TRINITY UNITED CHURCH,
220-20th St., Fort Macleod, AB, with Reverend Eras Van Zyl, Officiating. Inurnment to follow at Union
Cemetery.

DYKSLAG
LOUIS DYKSLAG of Lethbridge, Alberta, passed away peacefully with his loving wife Willy and children by
his side at St. Michael’s Health Centre, Palliative Care, on Monday, May 5, 2014 at the age of 69 years.
Louis was born in Epe, Netherlands to John and Marchien Dykslag on October 11, 1944. He immigrated to
Canada in May of 1950 and married Willy (De Jager) on May 12, 1967.
A kind and generous man who deeply loved his children and grandchildren, Louis spent a lot of time
camping and boating with his family. In his retirement years he and Willy travelled to many places with
their dear friends. Louis was a hardworking man of many talents who dedicated himself to a variety of
career endeavors.
He leaves to mourn his wife Willy of 47 years and his children and grandchildren including Annette
(Peter) and their children Mackenzie, Jordan, Hannah Yunick; Jeff (Tracy) and their children Brooke and
Tori Dykslag; Colleen Dykslag and her son Noah; and Louise Dykslag.
He also leaves to cherish his memory, brothers and sisters John (Hilda) Dykslag, Jerry (Eunice) Barthel,
Nancy Bouwman, Audrey Dykslag, Betty Dykslag, Willy (Dennis) Coutts as well as numerous nieces, nephews
and their families.
Louis was predeceased by his parents John and Marchien Dykslag, his siblings Betsy Barthel, Ed Dykslag,
Henry Dykslag and Marion Kuperis and brothers-in-law Rudy Bouwman and Bill Kuperis.
A Private Family Interment will be held prior to the Funeral Service at Royal View Cemetery.
A Funeral Service will be held at TRINITY REFORMED CHURCH, 1100 – 40th Avenue North, Lethbridge on
Friday, May 9, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Wybren Oord officiating.

MARY EDWARDINE FAIR BROWN CHIEF CALF (POOSISKII)
Mary Edwardine Fair Brown Chief Calf (Poosiskii) was born to the late Frank and Annie Cotton on the Aug
12, 1942 at Cardston Alberta. Edwardine leaves to mourn her long time companion Emile Napope, sons Richie
(Rose) Chief Calf, Clifford, Milton and Eke Fair, daughter Betty Chief Calf, Brothers, Roland Cotton
(Adel), Donald (Barbara) Cotton, sisters Carol (Calvin), Margaret, Donna Marie (Gary) Smith and Frankie
(Oliver) Scout, 12 grand children and 16 great grand children whom she loved dearly.
Edwardine Fair Brown Chief Calf was predeceased by her parents Frank and Annie Cotton , infant son Frank
Jr. (Petunia), children Genie Spear Chief, Natasha Chief Calf, Clayton Fair, Nephew Roland Jr, and
Cecilia Gros Ventre Boy auntie Rose Yellow Feet, uncles Tom and Sam Yellow Feet, aunties Ruth Bottle,
Rosa Twigg, Pretty Badger Wings, Marion Macdonald and Margaret Eagle Bear.
Edwardine was struck by a vehicle, almost losing her legs but her faith and prayers of family and friends
enabled her to walk again, after spending a year in the hospital.
Edwardine attended St Mary’s Residential School from Kindergarten to high school, graduating, her
siblings all following her example to complete High school.
Edwardine met the late Frank Fair Brown Chief Calf and had 6 children, together raising their children at
the Buttes.
Edwardine met Emile Napope and they resided together in Lethbridge for the last 23 years with Clifford
and Milton Fair. Edwardine was saved and knew her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ at the families annual
Camp Meetings she attended and enjoyed these camp meetings and attend yearly.
Edwardine enjoyed bingos and she attended her 24 years of sobriety. Edwardine fondly known as Cat, she
was a beautiful person always smiling. Cat contracted cancer and made every effort to get well for her
family. Cat finally used up her nine lives after a lengthy battle with cancer. The family was often
called to her bedside many times as she was close to leaving us but bounced back full of life from
prayers. Her daughter Betty and niece Shelly Smith spend the last 2 years helping her.
Her brothers Roland and sister Frankie often visited her daily in the last 4 months. Edwardine often
called for ministers to have service at her home or by her bedside. She finally lost the battle to cancer
on May 1, 2014 with family and friends surrounding her. She is very missed, she is free from pain.
A Family Service will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Friday May 9, 2014 at Eden’s Funeral Home 2424 5th Ave,
Fort Macleod, AB followed by a wake a service at 6:00 P.M.at Sik-Ooh-Kotoki Friendship Society, 1709 2
Ave S, Lethbridge, AB.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday May 10, 2014 AT ST. GLADSTONE HALL, STAND OFF,
AB. Interment at St. Catherine’s Cemetery.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Scott McCarty on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at his
home in Lethbridge.
Scott was born on November 22, 1958, Scott will be remembered as a son, son-in-law, brother, uncle, great
uncle and step father. Scott is predeceased by his loving wife, Taja Dawn McCarty and father Ronald
McCarty. Scott is survived by his beloved mother Marian McCarty, three sisters Cindy (Doyle) Cranston,
Hazel (Frank) Plowman and Donna Clarke, three brothers Michael (Tammy) McCarty, Joe (Drenda) McCarty and
Brian McCarty, mother-in-law and father-in-law Donna and John Miller as well as numerous nieces, nephews,

Quinn Ming Hall, 50 passed away peacefully on May 1, 2014 surrounded by family. Quinn is survived by his

She was predeceased by her parents Clementine (1992) and Tom Roth (2009).
