Bulls defeat Cardinals 5-2

The Lethbridge Bulls opened their four-game Western Major Baseball League Saskatchewan road trip in winning fashion Tuesday night.
With a 5-2 victory over the Cardinals at Jubilee Park in Yorkton, the Bulls improved their WMBL Alberta Division-leading record to 11-4.
Pat Kelley had the pitching win, allowing six hits while striking out four in eight complete innings. Jake Hansen came on in the ninth to earn the save.
Travis Steinke, who leads the league in home runs and RBIs, led the Bulls with three of the team’s 11 hits. Ryan Pidhaichuk had two RBIs in the game, while Josh Day and Mitch Dornblut each had one RBI. Brandon Bufton scored twice for Lethbridge.
The Bulls chased Yorkton starter Kody Rock after scoring four runs in the first four innings.
The two teams will play again in Yorkton tonight. The Bulls will then head to Melville for games on Thursday and Friday.
Lethbridge won’t play another home game until June 26.
