By Lethbridge Herald on July 21, 2015.

LETHBRIDGE HERALD
The forecast calls for a sunny day with highs stretching to 30 degrees, so why not head to Nikka Yuko Japanese Gardens and strap on your helmet and skates?
A pair of Olympic gold medallist women’s hockey players and 520 square feet of synthetic ice will be there for the Prairie Toyota Clarkson Cup tour. The Clarkson Cup is the Canadian Women’s Hockey League version of the Stanley Cup, and it will be on display as will the skills of “Amazing Race” competitors and Olympian hockey players Meghan Mikkelson and Natalie Spooner.
The car dealership group sponsors the CWHL and is hosting a number of these community-focused events to raise awareness of the CWHL and two of its most marketable stars.
According to a release from Lethbridge Toyota, the day starts at 1 p.m. with an autograph and photo session and the hockey starts at 3 p.m. and runs until 7 p.m.
Organizers will have some loaner equipment on hand but ask attendees to bring their own helmets and skates if possible. All the Clarkson Cup tour events are free, and Nikka Yuko will have a special visitor rate of $5 for the day.
