ATWOOD

CORENE DENA SHEEN ATWOOD, passed away in the Cardston Hospital on Friday, February 5, 2016 at the age of 77. She is survived by her husband Perry Dall Atwood, and by their five children, Dalene (Trevor) Persson, Shauna (Vaughn) Easthope, Troy (Lezlie Wiedmeier) Atwood, Kyle (Christina Lewis) Atwood and Jordena (Allan) Burt. Corene and Dall have 21 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Ladene Jensen and her three brothers, Bernie (Wendy) Bevans, Cory (Carrie) Bevans, and Tim Bevans. She was predeceased by her mother Fanny Mary McClung Sheen Bevans, father Robert Jordan Sheen and sister Marlene Graham.

The Funeral service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, SOUTH HILL CHAPEL, Cardston on Wednesday, February 10th at 11:00 a.m.

Friends may meet the family from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment to follow in the Cardston Cemetery.

Raymond Anton Fander

1944 – 2015

Mr. Raymond Fander of Lethbridge, beloved partner of Nova Jean Swihart, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at the age of 71 years.

Raymond was born on October 6, 1944 in Loon Lake, Saskatchewan to parents Joseph and Elizabeth Fander.

He is survived by his partner, best friend and companion, Novajean Swihart; his sisters Joyce (Tony) Froelich of Edmonton, Alberta, Marion (Leonard) Hofer of Good Soil, Saskatchewan, Diane Sebastian of Edmonton, Alberta; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and Novajean’s children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren; and many friends.

A Memorial Service will be held from 4:00pm – 8:00pm on Friday, February 12, 2016 at the MOOSE HALL 1401 5 Ave N, Lethbridge. Interment will take place at a later date in Good Soil, Saskatchewan.

Connie Lawson

1954 – 2016

It is with sadness we announce Connie Lawson fought her last round with cancer on Friday, February 5, 2016. Her body has lost, but her soul triumphs through Jesus Christ, her Saviour, whom she loved and served wholeheartedly. Since receiving a lung cancer diagnosis in April 2015, Connie faced her illness with grace and courage, fiercely holding on to Philippians 1:21 “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.”

Besides her loving husband Ian, Connie is survived by her children Adam (Krista) Lawson, and their children Jayden, and Nevaeh; Rebekah (Dwaine) Giesbrecht, and their children Hannah, Kenya, Mercedes, Marcus, and William; Benjamin (Kristen) Lawson, and their children Kalia, and Jace; Rachel (Ryan) Buhr, and children Grace, Olivia, and Adelynn; and Ruth (Luke) Watson.

Connie was predeceased by her brother Leslie Chester Teterud; daughter Hannah Margaret Lawson; parents: Morris / Dorothy Teterud; and grandsons Liam Ian Wayne Buhrand Jaxton James Lawson

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 7:00pm and 8:30pm on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at the EVANGELICAL FREE CHURCH, 4717-24th Avenue South, Lethbridge.

A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at the EVANGELICAL FREE CHURCH, with Pastor Jeremy Light and Pam Ukrainetz officiating. Interment to follow in Mountain View Cemetery.

1933 – 2016
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Lydia Perini announce her passing in Taber on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the age of 82 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 – 48 Avenue, Taber on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.

Besides her loving husband Art, Lydia is survived by their daughter Wendy Perini (Dale Bourque) of Taber; granddaughter Denise (Jack) Ross of Toronto and great grandsons Jackson and Travis Ross. She will be fondly remembered by her brother John (Ann) Slavik and by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son Robert “Sonny” Perini and daughter-in-law Lynne Dorchak; her parents Martin and Jennie Slavik; brothers Milan Slavik and Joey and Marquita Slavik; sisters Betty Kultgen, Ruth Kalvee and Helen Slavik.
Lydia was born in Barnwell on September 8, 1933 and was raised on the family farm until she met Art and they were married in July 1951.
Lydia was a very determined lady who loved sports in her school years and was a great track and field competitor. She loved to camp, fish, golf and help friends and family. There was always an offering of food when you stopped to visit.
Lydia was a very proud wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

1983 – ROFLIK – 2016

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Brian Roflik announce his passing on Thursday February 4, 2016 at the age of 32. Brian was born November 4, 1983 in Regina, Saskatchewan. In his younger years Brian enjoyed playing hockey, soccer, golf and camping with friends and family at Brightsand and Emma Lake. Brian started to display his entrepreneur ability at a young age by renting out his Nintendo to friends and selling candy for profit at school. Brian moved with his parents and sister to Medicine Hat, Alberta in 1999. Brian graduated from Eagle Butte High School in 2002. After taking computer and business classes he went on to be self-employed owning a delivery company and taxi service in Lethbridge, Alberta. He was an excellent storyteller and loved to share his adventures as a taxi driver. Brian enjoyed going on ski trips with family and friends and was always happy to play cards and games.

He will be forever remembered in the hearts of his parents, John and Linda; his sister, Heather (Josh); Oma Hedy Roflik; Grandma Hazel Cannon; Aunts and Uncles, Vlasta (Zdenka) Roflik, Rob (Christine) Roflik, Dave (Diana) Cannon, and Glenys (Wes) Richmond; cousins and friends. Brian was predeceased by his Opa Vince Roflik; Grandpa Harry Cannon; and Aunt Joni Cannon.

SOMMERFELDT

ORA SOMMERFELDT, beloved husband of Rose Sommerfeldt, of Magrath, passed away at home after a lengthy illness, on Friday, February 5, 2016 at the age of 82 years.

Ora grew up in Whiskey Gap with five sisters and two brothers, as his parents farmed in this area. After his years of farming he then worked with his brother Darrel in the John Deere business and then went to work driving truck for the MD of Cardston for 17 years. He did perfect leather work, as well as he liked to work in his big garden. He was also an avid hunter, motorcycle rider (nearly all his life), and he used to call Square Dancing in Del Bonita and was a very good dancer. In their retirement he and Rose travelled to Yuma for four years, and went on many Chinook Bus tours.

Besides his loving wife Rose, he is survived by his siblings, Donna, Verna, Roma, Ethel and Lynn. He was predeceased by Nola, Darrel and by his parents Auto and Laura. He had a lot of friends, was a friend to all and will be dearly missed.

Tucker, Annette Lynn (nee Fuller)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Annette Lynn Tucker at the age of 48 years. Annette passed away peacefully February 5, 2016 with Michael, her beloved husband, by her side. She is survived by her children Eric (AJ), Jessica, Mark; stepchildren Heidi, Sarah, Makayla, Kelsie, Cameron and Megan. Her father, Skip Fuller (Joyce); brother Brent (Tracey) and two grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her mother Lynn Fuller. Funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 5676-46 Street, Innisfail, Friday, February 12, 2016.
