Mr. Leo Cote of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Mrs. Velma Cote, passed away at the Peter Lougheed Care Centre in Calgary on Friday, October 21, 2016 at the age of 90 years.

ANDY KOOPMANS, beloved husband of Barbara Koopmans, of Lethbridge, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at the age of 80 years.
Besides his loving wife, Andy is survived by his children: Jodie (Jason) Knott (Janelle, Jared, Jenna) of Lethbridge, Rebecca (Grant) Boyd (Braydon, Jathen, Eden) of Medicine Hat, Jonathan (Tanya) Koopmans (Carter, Mylie, Zoe) of Lethbridge, Christopher Koopmans of Sherwood Park and Tamara Koopmans of Lethbridge. He is also survived by His sisters Tina (Ben) Van Arragon, Gerdy Vandebeek, Hilda (Phil) Smith and his brothers Otto Koopmans and John (Dawn) Koopmans.
Andy was predeceased by his parents Siebe and Barbara Koopmans, brothers Dick, Tom and Bill Koopmans, Brother-in-law Jules Vandebeek and sister-in-law Fran Koopmans.
Andy was born in Wierum, Friesland, Holland on June 23, 1936 as Anne (Awneh) Koopmans. He grew up and had his schooling in Holland. He emigrated to Canada with his parents in 1954 arriving in Picture Butte, AB. He married Barbara DeWeert on May 10, 1968. He was pretty handy and did many things throughout his life; farming, construction, trucking, plant maintenance but he was most proud of his five children and his precious grandchildren who brought much joy and love into his life. Andy was a born again Christian. Jesus was the Lord and Savior of his life. He went to be with his Savior surrounded by the love of his family.
A Funeral Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME – 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB on Saturday, November 5th, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. with Pastor Dick DeWeert officiating.
Interment will take place at Mountain View Cemetery – 1210 Scenic Drive South, Lethbridge, AB. at 1:30 P.M., all are welcome to attend.

Ms. Cherie-Lynn Bosma
1980 – 2016
Ms. Cherie-Lynn Marie Bosma of Lethbridge, beloved mother of Dominic, Astrid, and Emma, passed away in Lethbridge on Saturday, October 29,2016 at the age of 36 years. Cherie was born October 20, 1980 in Edmonton, AB. and became the precious, chosen daughter of Stanley and Shirley in Medicine Hat, AB. A sister to Dallas and biological daughter of Robert (Bob) Cleary. As a child she attended Cornerstone Christian Academy in Medicine Hat, AB. Then moved to Lethbridge in 1988 and attended Lakeview Elementary School, Gilbert Patterson and LCI. She took further education in Edmonton and then in Calgary at KDM. She graduated as a certified RDA 2(Dental Assistant). She worked in Lethbridge and later in Calgary as a RDA 2. Later moving to Creston, B.C. and worked at Ricky’s and Creston Hotel. At a younger age she delivered the Lethbridge Herald, and worked at Dairy Queen after school. She purchased her first car as a result. In the summer of 2001 she worked at Yellowbird Resort in Kenora, Ont. Cherie had a deep love for animals, especially her dogs, “Kilo”, “Bailey”, and “Frisky”. She loved camping with family or special friends on long weekends. She totally enjoyed getting her make up just right, talking on the phone, texting and being on Facebook. She was often the voice heard in a group of people, enjoying people. An excellent cook, making delicious eggs benedict and surprise spread were just some of her special dishes. She was a huge fan of the Edmonton Eskimos and Edmonton Oilers along with both Dads and her brother. She loved growing her indoor plants and had a unique home decorating style. In earlier years Cherie took Misha Academy of Modeling in Lethbridge, so she would be able to learn how to use make up correctly as Mom was hopeless in this area and still is. Later being accepted as a model for Mode Models in Calgary. Doing some shows for charity and other organizations. While in Calgary Cherie would shop with Mom. One day Mom’s credit card stopped working due to overuse, which was embarrassing for Mom. Cherie’s struggle with sobriety was always prevalent. However, she maintained periods of a healthy lifestyle.

She was always able to make conversation and making many special friends over the years. This is an extremely great loss to those who loved her so deeply. She was loved by all that were fortunate enough to have known her. We will miss your love of life, your incredible sparkling green blue eyes, your laughter and beautiful smile. She is survived by her children Dominic, Astrid, and Emma. Her devoted and loving parents Stanley and Shirley. Her brother Dallas(Nadine) and two nieces, Brooklyn and Vivian. Special Grandparents William and Annie. As well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and many friends. Cherie was predeceased by her Grandparents Alvin and Edna and Jack. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 4th Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta. A Private Family graveside will take place at a later date in Medicine Hat. Flowers are gratefully declined. Born April 30, 1939 in Arnswalde, Ostbrandenburg, Germany. Passed away October 31, 2016 in Magrath, Alberta.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving children; Ken (Bev) of Lac La Biche and Debi (Mark) Charlesworth of Welling as well as their mother, Carol Raasch of Magrath; eight grandchildren: Talia, Eric, Jeremy, Keely, Amanda, Scott, Elizabeth, Austin and four great grandchildren; brother Gary (Donna) of Vernon, BC and sister Anneliese (Walter) Jabs of Creston, BC, as well as many nieces and nephews.
