Jeanette was born in New Westminster, British Columbia to Jelle and Janette Vanderveen. She grew up on a farm in the Mud Bay area, the second youngest of six girls. In 1977 she was swept off her feet by a bachelor from Alberta, Marion Bareman and they married in November of 1979. They moved back to Alberta in the spring of 1981 to farm south of Grassy Lake with Marion’s father and brother. They were blest with seven children.
Later on in life, mom surprised us with many new ventures, kayaking, scuba diving and even taking over Wood Travel when they moved off the farm. She adored her grandkids and was proud to take them all camping every summer. She loved to host and serve her brothers and sisters in the Lord.
Mom spent her last few days at home in peace surrounded by loved ones.

Ona was a “Tupperware” Manager for 29 years and enjoyed her job to the fullest. Ona’s love for her family was of the upmost importance as her family was her life.
