DANGERFIELD

Pamela Sue (Otis) (Godderis) Dangerfield of Vancouver, beloved wife of Jim Dangerfield, passed away comfortably on Saturday January 26, 2019 after a brief battle with cancer at the age of 71 years. Pam was born in Taylor, Texas and came to Canada in 1957. She moved with her family to Calgary, Alberta where she attended high school and completed her Bachelor of Education at the University of Calgary. Pam was passionate about art, and she shared her enthusiasm for the creative process as an art teacher in the Calgary public school system and later in her life through a network of embroidery organizations and art institutions in North America. The artwork Pam created was shown around the world, and won multiple national and international awards. Besides her loving husband Jim, Pam will be adoringly remembered by her daughters Amy (Andrew) and Rebecca (Rob) Godderis, her step-children Coral, Neil (Reet), Donna (Garth), Marnie (Bill) Dangerfield, her cherished grandsons Gavin, Kyle, Callum, Graeme, her sister Donna (Bud) Hamilton and her brother Jack (Janice) Otis. Pam was predeceased by her parents Don and Jackie Otis. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at ST. GILES PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 1102 2 Avenue NW, Calgary. DAVIDSEN

TAGE INGVARD DAVIDSEN age 89 of Cardston, Alberta, passed away peacefully at home Monday, January 28, 2019. He will be dearly missed by Urzula, his wife of almost 64 years and his seven children, Kelwood (Cori), Eugene (Cheryl), Glenn (Tracey), Leon (Louise), Nolan (Marilyn), Karlo, and Valena, as well as 25 grandchildren, 32 great- grandchildren and even more that called him grandpa. He was predeceased by his great- grandson, Bentley Davidsen.

Tage was born April 3, 1929, in Aarhus, Denmark, the seventh child of Ingvard and Ane Nielsen. He was always a hard worker and of all the jobs he had, he loved working at the post office the most. Tage always said that one of the best decision he ever made was to join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His desire to be where the church was strong brought him to Canada. At age nineteen he immigrated to Magrath, Alberta, before serving a mission for the church in Eastern Canada.

He married his “honey dear,” Urzula Stewart March 30, 1955, in the Cardston, Alberta, Temple and they settled in Calgary. With the successful business, Tage Davidsen Drywall Supplies provided employment opportunity for many. He loved to serve in the church with the highlight being his service in the temple with Urzula.

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 2nd at 10:00 am in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Cardston Alberta West Stake Center, 846 1 Ave West. Friends may meet the family on Friday, February 1st, 2019 from 7:00 – 8:00 pm at the Legacy Funeral Home, 107 – 6 Street West, Cardston, or prior to the service on Saturday from 9:00 – 9:45 am.

Gloria Anderson

February 1, 1942 – January 20, 2019

On January 20, 2019 Gloria Jean Anderson of Picture Butte passed away in Lethbridge, Alberta. Gloria is survived by her brother-in-law Ben of Edmonton; sister-in-law Terry of Shaughnessy; nieces Laurie (Rainer), Linda and Lisa (Brian) all of Edmonton and her nieces Paula (Marcus) and Karen (Joe) of Seattle as well as several great-nephews and nieces. Gloria was predeceased by her husband Edgar; her parents Paul and Anna Trapp; her siblings Maxine, George and Pauline and her nephew Philip. Gloria enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces as a young woman and served at several bases in Canada as well as the Canadian base in Lahr, Germany. Gloria loved animals and was “owned” by numerous dogs and cats throughout her life. Gloria was also an avid reader. Her vast collection of books covering diverse topics brought her much joy. Many thanks to Terry Finley for the many kindnesses shown to Gloria throughout the years. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00AM, on Monday, February 4, 2019, at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta. 1944 – 2019

Karen Margarite Kunkel, beloved wife of Bob, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, in Lethbridge on January 24, 2019 at the age of 74 years.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 1:30 pm at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd (2406 11 Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB).

TSUJI, Kim

March 4, 1937 – Surrey, British Columbia January 24, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta

Kim Tsuji of Calgary passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at the age of 81 years. Kim taught for twenty-nine years in Raymond, AB. She started her career as a teacher at the Raymond Elementary School before becoming Principal. Besides teaching, she had a passion for painting, pottery, and gardening. However, her greatest love was spending time with her family. Kim will be remembered for being a compassionate caregiver, amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, mentor and friend. Kim is survived by her children, Jeff (Jackie) Tsuji, of Okotoks, Kathy (Chris) Millich of St. Helena, CA, Tammy (James) Dalton of Calgary and her grandchild Mackenzie Dalton of Calgary. In addition, she leaves siblings Michie (Harumi) Takaguchi, Hideo (Marian) Fukushima, Jean (Doug) Webster, Ron Fukushima, and John (Lois) Fukushima. Also, left to mourn include sisters-in-law Judy Fukushima, Sadie Higo, Kin Matsuno, Midori (Ken) Tanaka, and brothers-in-law Yukio Tsuji, Ray (Lena) Tsuji as well as many nieces and nephews. Kim was predeceased by her husband Mitsuo Tsuji, her brother Hiroshi Fukushima, two brothers-in-law, Hisashi Matsuno and Ted Higo, parents Torazo and Hisako Fukushima and parents-in-law Asakichi and Kimi Tsuji.
