BARRIE LINN
1935 ~ 2013
Barrie Linn of Lethbridge beloved brother of Darwin Linn and Beverley Martin, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2013 after a lengthy battle with many health problems at the age of 78 years.
Besides his siblings Darwin and Beverley, Barrie is survived by his son Darren Linn and his nieces and nephew, Leslie Linn-Landry, Gary Linn, and Diane Bergen along with his nieces from British Columbia.
Barrie was predeceased by his Mother and Father Alfreda & Charlie Linn and beloved sister-in-law Marguerite Linn.
Barrie was born and lived his entire life in Lethbridge and surrounding area. He graduated from L.C.I. and had numerous friends. He began his career as a clothier working for McGuire’s Men’s Wear and Frank Walkers Men’s Wear. He was a delivery driver for many years for Southern Stationers and made many friends in his travels.
Barrie had a great love for animals and took in numerous stray, abused, and abandoned dogs. He felt it was his place to care for animals and was rewarded watching an animal turn around and regain its health and life.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, June 19th, 2013 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL | 610 – 4 Street South, Lethbridge.

GEORGE SHAFRANSKI
1923 ~ 2013
It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of our grandpa, George Shafranski. He passed away at the Chinook Regional hospital on Friday June 14, with his family by his side.
George was born in the Ukraine, raised in a close knit Christian family until his teens, at which time he moved to Lethbridge. Shortly after that he met the love of his life, Mary (predeceased). George and Mary then adopted their son Roman (predeceased),and remained in a close Christian family until the passing of Mary.
He will be lovingly missed by his grandchildren Shane and Angel Shafranski both of Lethbridge; also many friends he had made through his journey in life. George worked at School District #51 as a caretaker; he always went out of his way to assist anyone he could. George touched many lives with his kindness and generosity as he always believed that anyone would do.
A special thanks to the staff at the Chinook Regional Hospital on the fourth level.Â
A Celebration of his Life will be held 1:00pm on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL | 610 4th Avenue South, Lethbridge. The interment will take place at Mountain View Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest beside Mary.

HERBERT ALLEN WILCOX
August 30, 1941 – June 14, 2013
On Friday, June 14, 2013, Herbert Allen Wilcox, a longtime resident of Beaverlodge, Alberta, passed away peacefully at the age of 71 years.
Herb was born in Lethbridge to Joseph and Esther and grew up in southern Alberta where he learned the family business – farming. Herb went to high school at LCI where he excelled at playing football. During this time he met the love of his life Sherrolynne Ruth Wintemute whom he married on November 29, 1969. After a few more years in southern Alberta, they moved to the Beaverlodge area where they turned a section of land into a beautiful farm on which to raise a family.
He will be sadly missed by his sons: Kayedon (Tamara), and LeeRon; sisters: Barbara, Janice, and Esther; grandchildren Kourtney and Kali; and also by numerous other relatives and friends.
Herb was predeceased by his loving wife Sherry; and sisters Marion and Julie.
For anybody wishing to pay respects, a casual gathering will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2013 from 12:00pm to 4:00pm at the family farm located 4 miles east of Hinton Trail Hall

LAWLOR, MARGARET ANN (CLIFTON)
Passed away June 13, 2013 in Lethbridge, at the age of 75 years. Born April 29, 1938 in Magrath Alberta, the youngest of four children to John (Ed) and Margaret Clifton. Margaret grew up in Magrath and later moved to Calgary where she met her sweetheart, Dean Dow Lawlor. They were married in the Cardston Alberta Temple on July 2, 1960 and together raised 5 children mainly in the Lethbridge and Picture Butte areas.
Along with her love and devotion to her family, Margaret enjoyed sewing, cooking, playing the piano, dancing and socializing. She also gave many hours of devoted service to those around her.
Margaret is survived by her husband, Dean; her children, Kathryn (David) Gibson of Toronto; Vincent (Tomomi) Lawlor of Kobe, Japan; Sharon (Brad) Ackroyd of Cochrane; Kaylana (Rory) Woolf of Airdrie and Candice Bulycz of Calgary; 16 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; brother, Ted (Betty) Clifton; and sister-in-law, Shirley Clifton.
She is predeceased by her parents; sister, Ione (Jack) Winkler; brother, Bob Clifton; and two grandsons, Levi Haynes and Benjamin Ackroyd.
The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2410-28 Street South, Lethbridge.
Friends may meet the family on Wednesday, June 19 from 7:00 to 8:00 pm at CHRISTENSEN SALMON GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME in Lethbridge, or from 10:00 to 10:45 am prior to the funeral service at the church.Â

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing away of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Mrs. Maria Visser of Picture Butte, beloved wife of the late Mr. Willem Visser, on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at the age of 89 years.
She will be sadly missed by her son, Peter (Kay) of Penhold, AB, and their children Tanya (Pat) and Rob (Susan); her daughter Nellie (Marvin) of Lethbridge, AB, and their children Jeffrey, Lisa (Jeremy), Karen (Tom) and Darren; and her son Clarence (Liana) of Stirling, AB and their children William and Maria; as well as 10 great- grandchildren.
She is also survived by one sister-in-law, Riet Visser of the Netherlands, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her loving husband Willem, she was predeceased by her father, mother, 3 sisters and 1 brother, two infant grandsons, and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
