DAVIES

Elizabeth Jenny Finch Davies, wife of the late Cyril B. Davies, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on October 18, 2019 at the age of 89 years.

Jenny is the mother of Alexander Wood (Sonia Rica) of Toronto. She was blessed with two grandchildren; Natachia Wood Duke (David Duke) and Daniel Wood. Natachia and David blessed her with her great granddaughter Charlotte Duke of whom she was very proud.

Jenny was born the seventh child of Anna Maria Patteet and her father Cyril Vernon Finch in Hoboken, Belgium on July 3, 1930. She has very fond memories of her kind, beautiful mother, however, her mother was frail and had poor health and when Jenny was nine years old her mother passed away. Jenny had a difficult childhood and had to grow up quickly. At age 15 she went to work to support herself. While working in London she met and married Cyril Davies. In October of 1972, Jenny and Cyril emigrated to Canada to follow their son Alexander. They lived in Toronto for a number of years before settling in Kelowna B.C. After Cyril’s death, Jenny moved to Alberta and made Lethbridge her home. Jenny worked most of her life to provide for her family. Her sunny disposition and positive attitude made her a joy to be around. She was always so grateful and appreciative of any kindness shown to her. She will be missed by her friends at the Garden View Lodge and all those who had the privilege of being around her.

Jenny will be interred in the Peachland Municipal Cemetery in British, Columbia at a later date. As Jenny requested, no formal service will be held at this time.
