1946 – 2020
Hugh John Charles Bell, passed away in Taber on Friday, January 3, 2020 at the age of 73 years.
Those who wish to pay their respects may do so at the church prior to the funeral service on Thursday, January 9, 2020 between 1:00 P.M. and 1:45 P.M.

CHAMBERS
MYRNA JOANNE CHAMBERS, beloved wife of the late Allan Chambers of Lethbridge, passed away on January 3, 2020 at Chinook Regional Hospital, Lethbridge, AB at the age of 76 years.
Joanne leaves behind her sons, Brad (Teresa) Chambers and Kelly (Melanie) Chambers and daughter, Laurie (Gord and his son Daniel) Branden; grandchildren, Sadie (James) Mooney, Madison Branden, Brayden and Kaylee Chambers and Chelsea and Larissa Chambers; sister, Harriett Jacobson, brothers-in-law, Donny Gordon and Ross (Mary) Chambers, and sister-in-law, Loreen Chambers, as well as many extended family, nieces, nephews and friends that will miss her.
Joanne was predeceased by her parents, George and Tillie Heather, brothers Jack (Margaret) Heather and Hap (Ethel) Heather; sisters, May (Damien) Corbiell and Donna Gordon and her brother-in-law, Lloyd Jacobson.
Joanne was in born in Bassano, Alberta on July 26, 1943. She was raised in Milo, Alberta where she attended school. In 1961, Joanne married Allan Chambers and they raised three children Brad, Kelly and Laurie in Lomond, AB. Joanne was happiest when she was involved in her community with her friends and family. She had a very special bond with her parents and all her siblings, and valued quality time with all of those special to her.
Joanne belonged to the Armada-Lomond Community Club and was always active in the community. She spent many hours in the Lomond Centre volunteering in the kitchen during figure skating events and hockey games. She truly loved her family and friends in the communities of Lomond and Milo. Joanne also loved the farming life and spent many hours tending to her garden and planted fresh flowers every spring. Her home was always filled with baking, as that was a favourite pass time for her along with endless hours playing with the grandchildren. She also had a passion for reading and always had a book nearby.
A Visitation will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 – 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Friday, January 10, 2020 from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
A Funeral Service will be held at VULCAN UNITED CHURCH, 213 – 2 Avenue South, Vulcan, AB, on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Justin Bills officiating.
Following the Funeral Service, Joanne will be laid to rest with her husband Allan in the Vulcan Cemetery.

Edward Cook, beloved husband of the late Agnes Cook, passed away peacefully at the Taber Hospital, on Sunday, December 29, 2019 at the age of 79 years. NELSON
GRANT CAHOON NELSON, of Stirling, passed away peacefully in the Raymond Hospital on January 4th, 2020 at the age of 74. He will be missed dearly by his wife, Connie Nelson, his children, Jeff (Angie) Nelson , Lisa (Chad) Nelson, Kristi (Darren) Mazutinec, Jimmy (Patti) Nelson, Roxanne (Jared) Heggie, Cindy (Josh) Smith, Kevin (Kaleigh) Nelson and Shawn (Brett) Nelson, as well as 39 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. He was predeceased by his parents, Farrell and Ellen Nelson, his brother, Brian Nelson, and sister, Rita Joy Nelson.
Grant was a beloved member of the Stirling community. He dedicated his life to loving his family and leaving them a legacy of the things most important to him: work, worship, play, and service. He had a talent for being a leader and knew how to set goals and get things accomplished. He was able to use this talent to grow his family farm, Nelson Family Ranches, to serve as Bishop and in other church responsibilities, and to support his community as the Lion’s Club President. He took great joy out of supporting his grandchildren in all that they were involved in.
Grant’s funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 8th at 11:00am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Stirling. The interment will follow in the Stirling cemetery. Friends wanting to meet with the family to remember Grant may join us on Tuesday, January 7th, in the Grant Nelson Hall in the Stirling Lion’s Community Center from 7:00pm – 8:30pm. A viewing will also be held at the Stirling Church on Wednesday, January 8th, from 9:00am – 10:30am prior to the funeral service.
