The stars came out to shine for the Lethbridge Hurricanes in their Western Hockey League tilt in Moose Jaw Wedneday night.
Dylan Cozens scored three goals and Oliver Okuliar added a pair as the Hurricanes cruised to a 7-1 victory over the Warriors in their second of seven straight games on the road.
Justin Hall and Ty Nash also scored for the Hurricanes, while Alex Cotton collected three assists from the blue-line. Calen Addison had a pair of helpers.
Cozens and Okuliar scored power-play goals to stake the Hurricanes to an early lead, Cozens netting his 22nd of the season just 1:40 into the game, and Okuliar scoring his 25th just 54 seconds later.
Okuliar made it 3-0 late in the first period as the Hurricanes outshot the Warriors 21-8 through 20 minutes.
Cade Hayes scored for Moose Jaw 13:19 into the second period, before Hall and Cozens scored goals 26 seconds apart in the final minute of the period.
Cozens added his third of the night 8:13 into the third period, the Canes’ third power-play goal of the game on four chances.
Bryan Thomson made 23 saves for Lethbridge, while Brock Gould was peppered with 52 shots in the Moose Jaw goal.
The win allowed Lethbridge, 27-11-2-5, to slip into second place in the Central Division, one point ahead of the Medicine Hat TIgers who were idle Wednesday night.
Moose Jaw fell to 11-28-2-0 with the loss.
The Hurricanes continue their road swing with games in Regina (13-25-3-2) on Friday, and Brandon (24-17-1-2) on Saturday.
