The Logan Boulet Arena has been nominated for Kraft Hockeyville 2020.
The arena, which was renamed the Logan Boulet Arena in October in memory of Boulet, one of 16 players who died in the Humboldt Broncos bus crash on April 6, 2018, will get the opportunity to not only host an NHL game, but $250,000 to go towards upgrades to the arena on the northide.
Those wishing to post an inspirational nomination story for the Logan Boulet Arena can go to http://www.krafthockeyville.ca.
A panel of judges will read each story – which is worth 80 per cent of the community’s score – and add up the rally points worth 20 per cent to determine the top-four candidates.
Rally points are 10 points for a nomination story, five points for a share on Twitter using the share button, three points for added photos or videos of the arena and one point for an added note or a reaction with emojis to nomination stories, photos and videos.
Nominations and rallies run until Feb. 9 with judging taking place Feb. 10 to March 13. The top-four announcement is March 14 with the four finalists going head-to-head in one round of voting. The voting is open from March 27 at 10 a.m. local time to March 28 at 6:30 p.m.
This year’s Kraft Hockeyville winner will be announced March 28.
