The LCI Clippers held off the Magrath Pandas 72-65 in Southern Alberta Girls Basketball League action on Wednesday.
Clippers (9-1) were led by Presley Heggie with 25 points while Kya Bester and Annah Westrop added 13 and 10 respectively.
Hattie Ogden replied with 17 points for the Pandas (6-5) while Emily Hall scored 14 points and Macie Wocknitz had 10.
In other action, Raymond Comets improved to 8-1 with an 81-58 victory over the Medicine Hat Kwahommies.
Abby Graves led the Comets with 17 points, followed by Saige Gibb and Kyla Bohne with 13 and 11 points respectively.
Kwahommies (5-3) were paced by Hailee Parker with 16 points.
In junior varsity play, Medicine Hat downed Raymond 64-43 as Janine Jonker scored 24 points in the win.
Jane Heggie and Mataya Francis replied with 12 apiece for Raymond.
On Tuesday, the Catholic Central Cougars defeated the Chinook Coyotes 80-36 to improve to improve to 3-7. The loss dropped the Coyotes to 0-10.
There were no scoring statistics available.
In JV action, CCH downed Chinook 61-37 as Avorie Henderson led the way with 14 points. Megan Lea replied with 16 points in a losing cause.
