The Integrated Management Experience (IME) class at the University of Lethbridge is working with Interfaith Food Bank, a local non-profit organization, to help give the most vulnerable people access to food and resources generated from the community.
For each academic year, the IME works in collaboration with a local non-profit organization as chosen by the director. This is done with the intent for IME to develop solutions to a problem faced by non-profits. This year, they are helping Interfaith Food Bank raise funds to help supply their stock of food and other essentials.
From now through Wednesday, community members will have the opportunity to help out the Interfaith Food Bank operations and programs through an auction of various items such as kids’ bikes, vouchers, hotel nights, paintings, decorations and more.
Every month, Interfaith Food Bank sees an average of 658 households served, including 935 adults and 603 children.
If you would like to help support the Interfaith Food Bank as they continue to work throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and serve the most vulnerable population, visit Interfaithfoodbank.ca to donated funds directly, or visit 32auctions.com/IFBauction2020 to look through the items up for auction by the IME class at the U of L.
