Wilson signs with Stockton

Lethbridge Hurricanes’ defenceman Koletrane Wilson has signed a contract with the Stockton Heat of the American Hockey League for the 2020-21 season.

Wilson, 20, was originally drafted by the Hurricanes in the fourth round (84th overall) in the 2014 Western Hockey League bantam draft. The product of Edmonton suited up for the Hurricanes in parts of four seasons, totalling 190 career regular season games while collecting 63 points (11g-52a) along with 233 penalty minutes and a plus-67 rating.

Wilson also appeared in 26 career post-season games amassing three assists with 12 penalty minutes and a plus-one rating.

The six-foot-three, 220-pound defenceman skated in 62 regular season games during the shortened 2019-20 campaign setting career highs with eight goals, 25 assists and 33 points while collecting 90 penalty minutes and a plus-28 rating.

Over his final two seasons in the WHL, Wilson totalled 52 points along with 210 penalty minutes and an impressive plus-68 rating in 130 games.
