Police investigating suspicious death

Lethbridge Police are investigating a suspicious death after a male’s body was located early this morning.

On April 27, 2020 at approximately 6:55 a.m. police responded to a report of injured male at an apartment building along the 1200 block of 4 Avenue South. Police and EMS attended and located a deceased 43-year-old male inside one of the units.

The death is being treated as suspicious and the investigation is ongoing. Preliminary evidence suggests there is no ongoing risk to neighbours or the general public.

The male’s body will be transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Calgary for an autopsy to confirm the cause of death.
