Police investigating sudden death at SCS

Lethbridge Police are investigating a sudden death that occurred early Wednesday afternoon.
On Wednesday at approximately 12:30 p.m. police were dispatched to assist EMS with a medical emergency in the parking lot of the Supervised Consumption Site along the 1000 block of 1 Avenue South. Upon arrival, officers were informed that a 33-year-old female had been pronounced deceased. The Medical Examiner’s Office has been contacted and the woman’s body will be transported to Calgary for an autopsy, LPS said in a news release.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and no further information will be released until the autopsy has been completed.
