Robert Olsen of Cardston has completed the Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree at the College of Dental Medicine-Arizona (CDMA) of Midwestern University. Conferring of degrees took place in a virtual graduation ceremony hosted by Midwestern University May 22.
Olsen is the son of Shawn and Lynda Olsen. He graduated from Cardston High School in 2009 then went on to serve a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 2010-2012 in Melbourne, Australia. He then married Ariel Pavan, daughter of Lethbridge residents Leroy and Sandra Pavan.
While playing basketball for the Lethbridge College Kodiaks and University of Lethbridge Pronghorns, he earned his BS with distinction from this U of L in 2016. He now has completed four years of dental school at Midwestern University. He has decided to continue his education and has been accepted to Loma Linda University in Southern California to specialize in orthodontics. After graduation from Midwestern University and then from Loma Linda University in 2022, Olsen plans to practise orthodontics in Lethbridge.
