LETHBRIDGE HERALD
Lethbridge Police have charged a 21-year-old man in connection with an incident where a male was assaulted outside a westside home over the weekend.
On Sunday at approximately 11 p.m. police responded to Chinook Regional Hospital after staff reported a male had been dropped off at the ER with serious head injuries. The 26-year-old victim was subsequently transferred to a Calgary hospital where he remains in serious but stable condition.
Investigation determined the victim and a group of acquaintances had been socializing throughout the day, and later in the evening returned to a home along the 100 block of Mount Blakiston Road West where a verbal altercation escalated to a physical assault. The victim was subsequently struck in the head with a weapon causing significant injuries, police said in a release. Through followup investigation the subject was identified but has not yet been located.
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Brady Robert Tardif, 21, of Calgary, who is charged with aggravated assault and two counts of failing to comply with release orders.
Anyone with information on Tardif’s whereabouts is asked to call police at 403-328-4444 or Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-8477. Anonymous tips can also be submitted online at http://www.p3tips.com. Crime Stoppers will pay cash for information leading to an arrest.
